Kendra Newman, Member at Large
Kendra made the move from Ohio to Florida in 2001 and loves that the weather allows cycling all year. New to the Bike Florida Board in 2016 she is enthusiastic about encouraging everyone to get on a bike for short or long rides. She is especially happy when bike touring with her husband and friends on self-contained trips where they always make time for lunch at a pub or a visit to a quirky museum. Kendra has served as a member of the Sarasota County Bicycle, Pedestrian, Trail Advisory Committee and is particularly interested in improving the relationship between motor vehicle drivers and cyclists, as well as, promoting the economic impact of cycling. With a bachelor’s degree in Communications and a grassroots type of attitude, she enjoys promoting cycling one conversation at a time to anyone who will listen.
