Gullah Geechee Tour - March 18-24, 2017

Join us March 18-24 on our wagon wheel tour of St. Johns and Putnam counties. Learn about the Gullah Geechee culture and become part of a movement to improve local cycling facilities and trails. Live music entertainment, beer and wine gardens, and camping under the stars with 600 friends old and new will make this a week to remember!

Riders will have multiple bike route options to choose from that offer varying distance and difficulty. All routes are hand-selected and fully supported. Read more about event riding on our Routes Page.

2017 Gullah Geechee Tour

This year’s Spring Tour will be a wagon wheel format ride with one base camp and many loops.

Campsite Services

Campsite Massage

massage2A long day in the saddle means sore legs and tight muscles.  Let Eddie, our on-site massage therapist, work out those knots and aches so you are ready to go first thing the following day.  

* Cash or check only–NO Credit Card.

* 3 options:  $40.00-30 minutes,  $60.00-45 minutes,  $75.00-1 hour.

* Pay on site immediately after receiving your massage.

Schedule 11:00 am-9:30 pm each day.  First day massages begin at 1:00 pm

The massage station will be clearly marked at the campsite, as well as on our site maps (due to be finalized in early 2017). 

You can make an appointment on location at the beginning of the week to ensure a spot.  Eddie gets very busy and fills up fast–so schedule as soon as you can! 

YOGA   yoga

Bike Florida will be offering FREE 1 hour Yoga stretch sessions conducted by Yoga instructor Linda Ortiz from Statesville North

Carolina. Linda is ACE Certified through “Beth Shaw’s Yogafit Training Systems Worldwide, Inc”. She first received Physical Fitness Specialist Certification through “The Cooper Institute for Aerobics Research,” in Dallas Texas in 1993. She has been actively involved and has years of experience in both health coordination and physical fitness including Cycling Classes, Aerobic classes, Body Sculpting and defensive tactics. She is certified in CPR, AED, Basic First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration. The Yoga stretch sessions will target the muscles that you will be incorporating on your rides. Linda will also be riding with the tour! If you wish to participate in the Yoga sessions, please bring your own mat, blanket or thick beach towel.
